Being sensitive to the various religious inclinations and dietary requirements of its customers, MACS pursued HALAL certification as mandated by the country's Executive Order (EO) 122-A.
The 1Q of 2003 paved the way towards the Company's HALAL certification. Close coordination with the Office on Muslim Affairs was carried to ensure compliance to HALAL requirements.
HALAL certification was conferred to MACS last October 10, 2003 making it the first in-flight catering Company in the Philippines to be HALAL certified.
Last December 05, 2003, the Office on Muslim Affairs spearheaded the first National Halal Conference in which MACS was highlighted as one of the few companies in the Philippines to be HALAL certified.
On January 17, 2020, MACS received the HALAL certification given by HALAL Development Institute of the Philippines (HDIP) recognized by Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (JAKIM), Majlis Ugama Islam Singapore (Muis Singapore), MRA-The Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT), Majlis Ugama Indonesia (MUI), International Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA) and members of the World Halal Food Council (WHFC).
MACS is a Halal-certified company by Malaysian Halal Consultation Training (MHCT) Agency, a recognized agency by Government of Dubai and a member of International Halal Integrity Alliance (IHIA) Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
MACS complies with the Halal & Hygiene requirements according to Islamic Dietary Law and Malaysian Halal Standards MS1500-2019. MACS is committed to provide its Muslim clients with safe, quality, Halal-compliant products, processes and assure meals in the highest standards and deliver quality inflight services that meet customer satisfaction.
